Re:          Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 11207
                Independent Real Estate & Fixture Appraisal Services

 

To Prospective Proposers:

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) requests proposals from qualified firms for the above mentioned RFP.  The work shall consist of providing appraisal services primarily for various real property acquisitions (including easements) and leases throughout the New York State Region (NYC boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam Rockland and Orange Counties).

Copies of the RFP document may be obtained at a non-refundable charge of $250.00 payable by company check drawn on an U.S. depository or money order.  If you wish to purchase a copy of the RFP document please send your company check or money order (cash or personnel checks not accepted) made payable to “Metropolitan Transportation Authority” to the following address:

You must indicate the following number on the check or money order: “11207”.  There will be a $25.00 fee for any returned item.

The due date for receipt of proposals is Friday, February 17, 2012 at 4:00PM local time.  No Proposals will be accepted after the due date. It is anticipated that the RFP document will be ready for release on/or about January 17, 2012.

Position is responsible for appraising multi-family and commercial properties that typically collateralize loans of $1,000,000 to $10,000,000. Appraisal work is conducted in accordance with internal policies/procedures, USPAP and FIRREA requirements. MAI designation a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Appraises multi-family and commercial properties following USPAP, FIRREA and internal policies and procedures.
Estimates market value and writes timely, accurate and complete appraisal reports using designated forms and narrative formats.
Keeps abreast of current real estate market conditions and their effect on residential and commercial markets in assigned geographic areas.
Prepares complete file documentation in accordance with internal documentation guidelines to ensure clear audit trail.
Participates, in conjunction with supervisor, in the development of personal production targets, and an action plan for meeting specific objectives.

Qualifications:
5+ years of commercial appraisal experience including exposure to multi-family valuation.
New York State General Certification

Capital One Bank is expanding its roster of residential appraisal service providers. We are looking for appraisers with strong local market area knowledge, analytical and communication skills. Our service model uses Appraisal Port for engagement and delivery of all appraisal assignments. To be considered, an appraiser must be state licensed or certified and be in good standing. A credentials package which includes a resume’, license(s), W-9, errors and omissions endorsement and work samples (1004, 1073, 1025 formats, sanitized per USPAP) will need to be submitted for each individual appraiser requesting to perform assignments.
